Recently, we started production of another batch of Ceres 1 dehumidifiers for horticulture projects in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. A total of 50 units are being built, designed specifically to ensure stable growing conditions in modern greenhouses.
Each unit is equipped with advanced scroll compressors using the new R454C (GWP 148) refrigerant. These compressors are airlifted from Japan, as this innovative refrigerant is still emerging in Europe. With all key components now delivered, production of these greenhouse dehumidifiers has officially begun.
The result: highly efficient, low-energy dehumidifiers that help growers maintain the perfect balance of humidity and temperature. Thanks to the latest technology, the Ceres 1 series offers lower operating costs, reliable performance, and healthier crops.
With the new R454C (GWP 148) refrigerant, the Ceres 1 dehumidifiers set a new standard for sustainable climate control in horticulture. This low-GWP solution combines high efficiency with a reduced environmental footprint, helping growers achieve healthier crops while lowering energy costs.
Controlling humidity in greenhouses can be achieved by opening windows, but this leads to significant heat and CO₂ loss. Using greenhouse dehumidifiers prevents these losses, making them a far more energy-efficient and cost-effective solution.
In addition to regulating humidity, the dehumidifier also recovers and generates heat, while retaining valuable CO₂. In this sustainable way, an ideal growing climate is maintained, allowing plants to thrive under optimal conditions.
Installations in the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Mexico have proven that using dehumidifiers in greenhouses results in a short payback time due to their outstanding efficiency and reliability.
The CERES 1 is a high-quality dehumidifier specifically engineered for the demanding greenhouse environment. It combines advanced technology to extract moisture from the air and reuse that energy to heat the greenhouse with minimal power consumption. (DER = 2.85 at 22 °C / 80 % RH), setting a new benchmark for sustainable greenhouse climate control.
A greenhouse dehumidifier is a solution developed for professionals. It may seem straightforward, but growers who want a truly stable, energy-efficient and low-maintenance climate are best advised to work with specialists. From humidity control to heat recovery, and from CO₂ retention to energy savings, every detail matters when it comes to creating the perfect greenhouse climate.
